KFC Launches ‘I Ate the Bones’ Facebook Contest

Chicken restaurant chain KFC has launched its new Original Recipe Boneless chicken and accompanying “I Ate the Bones” advertising campaign.

Now, it is giving consumers the chance to try the product for free, while also inviting them to show off their best “I Ate the Bones” reaction for a chance to win prizes.

On Monday, May 6, KFC is hosting the Original Recipe Boneless Happy Hour between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at participating restaurants.

The first 100 consumers in each location to say the phrase “I Ate the Bones” or to ask for a free piece of Original Recipe Boneless will get to enjoy one piece of the new boneless, skinless chicken for free.

“Original Recipe Boneless is a product you have to taste to believe, so we’re excited about providing free samples to America during Happy Hour on May 6,” said Jason Marker, chief marketing officer for KFC US.

To celebrate the brand’s new Original Recipe Boneless ad campaign, KFC also recently launched the “I Ate the Bones” Facebook app and contest, in which consumers can post a photo or video with their best “I Ate the Bones” reaction.
