Air China Receives Facebook Award

According to Air China, Jayne Leung, president for Facebook Greater China, met He Zhigang, general manager for Air China’s marketing department, at Air China headquarters on December 9, 2014.

Leung praised Air China’s brand promotion and marketing innovation with overseas social media platform, and awarded us the “Best Use of Facebook For International Marketing of Greater China 2014,” said Air China in a statement issued Tuesday.

During the award ceremony, Leung first expressed her congratulations to Air China, and then presented General Manager He Zhigang with the award.

To celebrate the coming Christmas and New Year holidays, they decorated a Christmas tree with post cards of the flagship 747-8, which were made by fans, and lighted the Christmas tree together.

Since June 2013, according to Air China, it has pioneered the use of Facebook in Greater China’s aviation industry, and opened a Facebook account in North America, Europe, Japan and other areas.

“Till now we have published more than two thousand posts, attracted 130 thousand followers, and reached 20 million people in total. What’s more, 200,000 people have interacted with us,” claims Air China.

“On Facebook Air China not only have we introduced product services, routes and special offers around the world, but we have also provided 24×7 hours of information inquiries, making it a new channel of communication for global passengers.”

Air China says it will adhere to Facebook and other overseas social media platforms as important tools for the development of the global market.
