Deepak Chopra Launches Spiritual Channel on YouTube

Self-styled spiritual instructor Deepak Chopra and his children have decided to launch a YouTube Channel as part of the video-sharing site’s original channel offering.

The Channel, a family affair with Deepak’s daughter Mallika and son Gotham, is positioned as a personal transformation destination.

Called The Chopra Well, the channel will run at: www.youtube.com/TheChopraWell

As part of the launch program, today, July 16, Deepak, Mallika and Gotham will host a live global meditation. The event hosted by Google+ can be viewed on The Chopra Well on YouTube and will include a discussion with special guests.

While conventional TV channels are fast losing their importance, top organizations of the world are launching their own web-based video channels.

A new series from UCTV Prime, the University of California’s YouTube original channel, takes viewers inside UC Riverside’s Eaton Collection, claimed to be the world’s largest, publicly accessible collection of science fiction, fantasy, horror and utopian fiction. Meanwhile, Yahoo! says that Playtone and Reliance Entertainment’s animated series “Electric City,” created by and starring Tom Hanks, will make its global debut on July 17th, 2012 on Yahoo! Screen. (Read: Yahoo! to Screen Tom Hanks’ Electric City)

“By subscribing to this channel and participating in our community by watching, responding to and interacting with the content, by sharing and uploading your own videos and making comments, we can find the critical mass that will transform this planet,” believes Chopra.

The channel will include programs such as spiritual solutions, holy facts, meditation show, and so on.
