Now an Android Tablet Built Just for Kids

Kurio Xtreme

Techno Source, a division of LF Products (a Li & Fung company), announced Monday the Kurio Xtreme tablet, the newest addition to its Kurio line of Android devices built for kids.

Designed for extreme play, the 7-inch, Wi-Fi-enabled, Android 4.4. (KitKat) Xtreme is said to be the company’s most advanced Kurio tablet.

Featuring a thinner and lighter design, Intel Atom processor, double the internal memory, added Bluetooth technology and 24/7 customer support right from the tablet, this upgraded kid device also introduces exclusive Kurio Motion gaming – claimed to be the first body-controlled gaming on a tablet.

Kurio Xtreme comes preloaded with 10 Kurio Motion games and more than $300 worth of free apps, games and other premium content.

This Google Certified device also offers access to more apps through the curated Kurio Store and Google Play.

Kurio Xtreme features a 7″ capacitive multi-touch screen, 16 GB of internal memory (expandable to 48 GB with micro SD card), front and rear-facing cameras, USB connection, micro SD card slot, and a lithium polymer battery offering six to eight hours of battery life. A protective bumper, micro USB cable and micro USB power adapter are included.

It will be available at major retailers in store and online beginning October 1, 2014, including Best Buy, Kmart, Target, Toys”R”Us and Walmart.com.

The suggested retail price is $129.99. Kurio Xtreme will come in blue. A pink version of the kid tablet will also be available exclusively at Toys”R”Us stores and online at Toysrus.com.

Additional accessories, sold separately, include folio cases with secure strap closure, tough packs with built-in adjustable stands and themed screen care kits that allow kids to protect and personalize their device. They will retail for $9.99 to $29.99 each.
