India’s leading tech services company Mahindra Satyam says it has appointed Edward ‘Ted’ Pretty as the chairman for its Australian and New Zealand operations.
He will also be supporting the company’s Asian region for telecom business expansion. The announcement was made today, July 3.
Ted will be driving the strategy for Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra across network engineering and operations, business intelligence & analytics, cloud, mobility and security.
His experience will also facilitate expansion plans in the region as the company explores opportunities to offer a higher service suite to businesses in the region, it was stated.
“Ted joins us at a time when the Industry is poised to transform,” said Rohit Gandhi, a senior VP for Mahindra Satyam.
“I am indeed proud to join the Mahindra Group,” Ted said.
According to Mahindra Satyam, Ted (pictured above) started his career as a lawyer with degrees in economics and law. He has held advisory and other roles in Australia with organizations such as Optus, Telstra, Fujitsu, Visy and RP Data.
He is currently non-executive director of National Carrier Neutral data centre provider NextDC Limited and chairman of the leading online and digital media adviser and investor CMB Capital and SiteTour, the cloud based out-of-home advertising and data platform, it was stated.
Mahindra Satyam is part of the USD 15.4 billion Mahindra Group.
