Wipro Ltd’s new office opening in Qatar- inaugurated by Jack Smies, Vice President and Business Head Middle East, Wipro Limited (in the Center).
Wipro Ltd., a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, announced Sunday its plans to expand its workforce over the next 12 months in Qatar, a strategic growth market, to meet increasing business requirements.
Wipro provides consulting, application implementation and infrastructure services across various domains to the customers in this region. Currently, over 350 employees work on Wipro’s Qatar based customer projects.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new office in Doha, Hariprasad Sasidharan, country head, Qatar & Kuwait, Wipro Limited said, “Qatar, today offers a great opportunity for Wipro and we believe in combining our industry domain skills with technology to bring business value to our clients. We are seeing demand for propositions like digital, analytics and mobility and it is encouraging to see Qatar leading the investments in some of these areas.”
Wipro says it has added customers across various sectors and has a strong base in banking, telecom as well as oil & gas verticals. Today, the company serves more than thirty customers in Qatar, it was stated.
