NIIT Opens European Delivery Centre in Dublin

Minister for Education and Skills, Ireland, Richard Bruton TD inaugurated the European delivery centre of NIIT Limited in Dublin, Ireland on Friday.

NIIT, which is a tech services company in India, provides computer training courses to students and corporate executives in India and abroad.

The inauguration was attended by the Indian Ambassador to Ireland, Mrs. Radhika Lal Lokesh, IDA (Industrial Development Authority) Ireland executives , Dublin City University President, Prof. Brian MacCraith, and Sapnesh Lalla, President, NIIT Corporate Learning Group.

NIIT had earlier announced the setting up of its Dublin centre in September 2015 when the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had visited Ireland.

NIIT had the honor of being welcomed by the Irish Prime Minister, Enda Kenny TD in his joint press statement with the Prime Minister of India.

NIIT’s Dublin centre of excellence is located at DCU ALPHA, a research-intensive innovation campus co-located with Dublin City University.

According to the company, the centre will be at the heart of NIIT’s Europe operations and will provide managed training services to leading companies in Europe and North America.

NIIT says its Dublin operations have been initially set up with local new hires and NIIT will continue to invest in hiring over 100 local employees in the coming months.

NIIT will employ content developers, high-end engineers, creative writers, instructional designers, digital media professionals, trainers, multilingual customer service support professionals, and project managers.
