The future of broadcasting – the Futurecast system. It will simultaneously deliver Ultra High-Definition Television images with more than 8 million pixels and high-definition and standard definition mobile TV signals.

The system will be demonstrated publicly for the first time next week at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention.

NAB Show, held April 5-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, is an electronic media show covering filmed entertainment and the development, management, and delivery of content across all mediums.

In the LG Electronics U.S. R&D lab in Lincolnshire, Ill., Dr. Jong Kim, president of LG’s Zenith R&D Lab, explains the core technologies behind the Futurecast Universal Terrestrial Broadcasting System, the optimized combination of broadcasting capabilities for fixed, portable and mobile use.
