LG Electronics is teaming up with MTV and mtvU for the inaugural “Fandom Awards” taking place during Comic-Con International: San Diego.
Kicking off the festivities today, July 24, LG will roll out the red carpet for MTV’s Fan Fest at Petco Park, where Comic-Con attendees will be treated to a free, pre-awards show party with live performances by a popular rock band with local roots and a hot, up-and-coming hip hop artist.

Lucky red carpet participants also will have the chance to be among the first to experience the all-new LG G3 smartphone, as they strike their best selfie pose for a picture perfect grand entrance.
The Fandom Awards call upon the fans and their votes to recognize the most popular titles in movies, TV dramas, TV comedies and animation, such as Captain America, The Hunger Games, Veronica Mars, Breaking Bad, Community, Glee and Family Guy, among others.

MTV and mtvU will premiere the 60-minute “mtvU Fandom Awards Special” on Sunday, July 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, celebrating the honorees and showcasing some of the best moments from the show.
