Email marketers can now remotely access any email environment from their desktops with a new tool released by Litmus, which provides software tools for email marketers to test and measure their campaigns.
“It’s incredibly important to test marketing emails across different environments before hitting the ‘send’ button,” explained Paul Farnell, CEO of Litmus. “The problem is, we can’t have all the different versions of Outlook, Lotus Notes, Thunderbird, etc. installed on our computers.”
That’s where Litmus’ new interactive testing tool comes in. It allows marketers to remotely access these email environments, so they can see their email campaigns exactly as their recipients will, before pressing ‘send’.
Estimates suggest that more than 300 billion emails are sent per day. And about 90% of these email messages are spam and viruses while an estimated 2 billion people are genuine email users.
Litmus’ new tool is claimed to be the first of its kind. Until now there has been no way to remotely access email clients such as Outlook for testing purposes, says the company.
Announced Monday, July 30, the new tool is now available. Litmus’ other key features include spam filter testing, email previews, and an email analytics package.
