Gorkana Mobile App for PR Workers and Marketers

Media intelligence outfit Gorkana Group in the UK has launched its first Mobile App giving PR (public relations), communications and marketing professionals mobile access to detailed journalist and media profiles with the ability to call, email and tweet some of the world’s top media people directly from the App.

Managing brand reputation in this digitally social age with millions of media channels to monitor is one of the greatest challenges facing PR and marketing professionals, believes Gorkana Group.

Meanwhile, another app offered access to breaking announcements from public and private companies, governmental departments and NGOs from around the world, posts from top PR and marketing blogs and all of PR Newswire’s own social media output from its main Twitter and Facebook accounts. With more organizations needing to engage with journalists and bloggers as stories and conversations break 24 hours a day – from September the App will also give them immediate access to the latest media coverage about their organization or brand.

“The fast-moving pace and networked nature of the PR and marketing industries means there has always been a need for access to media contacts and breaking coverage while on the move. We hope our new Mobile App puts all our customers at a great advantage,” said Jeremy Thompson, chief executive of Gorkana Group.

Announced today, August 23, the Mobile App will also offer free access to the latest Gorkana Media Briefing Event highlights, PR industry news and a daily summary of top stories.
