SAN JOSE, Calif. – Zoom has announced a major shift in the future of hybrid collaboration, transforming physical workplaces into intelligent environments through its AI-first platform, Zoom Spaces. By integrating powerful agentic AI features, the company aims to provide IT teams with centralized visibility while offering employees a seamless, hands-free office experience.
AI-Driven Workspace Management
At the center of this transformation is the AI Companion, which now proactively assists employees in navigating their physical office. A new feature, proactive recommendations in Workspace Reservation, allows the AI to suggest available rooms when it detects unreserved spaces or overlapping bookings.
For those already in meetings, enhanced voice commands for Zoom Rooms allow for hands-free control of room settings and collaboration. Employees can simply ask the AI Companion to create a Zoom Whiteboard or capture action items using their voice. To further enhance inclusivity, smart name tags can now be applied to in-room participants, improving the accuracy of captions, transcripts, and meeting summaries.
Expanding the Open Ecosystem
Zoom is also prioritizing flexibility through strategic partnerships that allow organizations to use their existing hardware:
- Zoom for Cisco Rooms: Organizations can now run a full Zoom Meetings experience on Cisco hardware, ensuring high-quality, consistent collaboration across different office setups.
- Vizrt Collaboration: Through the ISV Exchange program, Zoom is partnering with Vizrt to offer professional-grade production tools and broadcast technologies, simplifying complex room setups for virtual presentations and hybrid events.
High-Performance Media for Specialized Industries
To meet the demands of industries such as gaming and broadcasting, Zoom introduced Zoom Enhanced Media. This new add-on delivers premium audio and video, including support for 60fps high-frame-rate video and high-bandwidth modes that enable multiple simultaneous HD participant streams for razor-sharp detail.
