Sony’s New Xperia Comes with Jelly Bean

Sony Mobile brings the Xperia ZL smartphone to the US. It is now available online for pre-sale at Sony Store and will soon be available through other select online retailers, the company said today, March 25.

The phone comes with a 5″ full HD (1920x1080p) Reality Display in compact design and with an intelligent camera. One-touch connections via NFC (Near field communication) allow the Xperia ZL to communicate with a range of NFC-enabled devices with a single tap.

Sony Mobile also has revealed a marketing campaign with Indian festival of colors Holi in the backdrop for its Xperia smartphones.

The integrated campaign, which will be deployed globally in over 20 markets across TV, print, digital, out-of-home and retail, highlights the best of Sony’s technologies as found in its new premium Xperia Z smartphone. (Read: Indian Festival of Colors Holi to Market Sony Xperia)

Xperia ZL also includes Battery Stamina Mode that is supposed to improve the battery standby time by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps whenever the screen is off and starting them up again when the screen is back on.

Available in black, white, and red colors, Xperia ZL will launch on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
