KOREA (April 28, 2026) — Samsung Electronics has announced the global launch of the 32-inch Samsung Spatial Signage (SMHX model), expanding its award-winning lineup of glasses-free 3D commercial displays. This new, compact format is specifically designed for environments where space is limited, such as narrow retail shelves and counters, allowing businesses to showcase products with immersive 3D depth without the need for specialized eyewear.
Smaller Format, Targeted Impact
The 32-inch model joins the previously released 85-inch version, which was designed for large-scale installations. While the larger model focuses on life-size visuals, the 32-inch display brings the same patented 3D Plate technology to close-up viewing environments. By utilizing binocular parallax, the screen delivers distinct images to each eye, creating realistic 360-degree product rotations and cinematic depth.
Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, noted that the model “makes immersive 3D accessible across a much wider range of commercial environments,” including hospitality, education, and entertainment venues.
Technical Specifications and Design
The display is built for easy integration into existing retail setups:
- Weight & Profile: Weighing only 8.5 kg with a slim 49.4 mm profile.
- Resolution: Features FHD (1,080 x 1,920) resolution in a 9:16 portrait format.
- Installation: Compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounts, making it as simple to install as conventional digital signage.
The Spatial Signage line has already received significant industry recognition, earning a CES 2026 Innovation Award and a Silver award at the Edison Awards. Samsung has also signaled plans to continue expanding the line, with a 55-inch model currently in development.
Enhanced Control via Samsung VXT
To support the new hardware, Samsung introduced major updates to Samsung VXT, its cloud-based digital signage platform. A standout feature is the AI Studio app, which allows users to generate signage-ready 3D video content from a single product image and a text prompt.
Other platform enhancements include:
- Smart Download: Optimizes network traffic by sharing downloaded content between screens on the same network.
- Weather-Based Automation: An “Event” feature that uses real-time weather data to change content automatically—for example, promoting rain gear during a storm.
- Multiple Takeover: Allows for synchronized content transitions across all linked displays for large-scale marketing campaigns.
The 32-inch Spatial Signage is currently available in Korea and will roll out to global markets throughout 2026. This launch reinforces Samsung’s position as the leading commercial display provider, a title it has held for 17 consecutive years.
