SAN JOSE, Calif. — NVIDIA has announced that GTC 2026, the world’s premier conference for artificial intelligence and accelerated computing, will be held in San Jose from March 16-19. The event is expected to gather more than 30,000 attendees—including developers, researchers, and business leaders—from over 190 countries to explore AI’s role as essential global infrastructure.
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang will deliver the keynote address at the SAP Center on Monday, March 16, at 11 a.m. PT. Huang’s presentation will outline the industry’s direction for the year ahead, highlighting advancements in accelerated compute, AI factories, agentic systems, and physical AI. Huang described the significance of the event, stating, “GTC is the epicenter of the AI industrial era… AI is no longer a single breakthrough or application — it is essential infrastructure”.
The conference will frame the AI ecosystem as a “five-layer cake,” showcasing the interconnected roles of energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications. This structure will be explored through more than 1,000 sessions and 150 research posters, diving into real-world production environments such as robotics, digital twins, and quantum computing.
A massive lineup of global organizations will participate in the event, including:
- Tech and AI Leaders: Google DeepMind, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Tesla.
- Global Industries: Adobe, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oréal, and Siemens.
- Innovative Startups: More than 240 startups from the NVIDIA Inception program will showcase new technologies.
The event will transform downtown San Jose into an AI campus spanning 10 venues, featuring a “Day and Night Market” at Cesar Chavez Park for food and live programming. For professionals, GTC 2026 offers extensive hands-on training, including nine full-day workshops and over 60 labs focused on AI, networking, and data science.
Virtual attendees can access the keynote via livestream and participate in customized regional programming. Additionally, a live pregame show on March 16 will feature insights from the CEOs of Perplexity, LangChain, and Mistral AI. The conference will conclude with a Student and Community Day on March 19, opening the event to the broader public at a discounted rate.
