Leading audit, tax, and advisory firm KPMG LLP showcased Thursday to clients as well as other community and business leaders its enhanced technology capabilities at the opening of KPMG Ignition in Atlanta.

The company said it is one of the several innovation hubs recently established across the United States and a source of new jobs.

“We’re very proud that our firm chose Atlanta as home to its latest KPMG Ignition center,” said Milford McGuirt, KPMG’s Atlanta office managing partner. “Our business community can leverage this facility to address organizations’ complex business challenges with real-time solutions.”

Spanning an entire floor of One Atlantic Center in Midtown, Ignition in Atlanta boasts 22,000 square feet of work space geared for advanced technologies, close collaboration, and enhanced flexibility.

Ignition Atlanta also enhances collaboration with KPMG alliances, such as IBM, Appian, and Oracle. Other KPMG Ignition locations include Denver, Grand Rapids, and New York City, with San Francisco opening next month.

Some 80 people already staff Ignition Atlanta. Over the coming year, the firm plans to hire 20 additional people.
