Digital Marketing Awareness Program for Exporters

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), which promotes the business interests of Indian exporters in the global markets, organized an advanced digital marketing training program for corporate executives.

The objective of the program was to impart necessary skills to the exporters in this emerging technology field so that they could expand their operations particularly in the global markets.

Held today, Dec. 10, in New Delhi, the program was organized with technical and content support from Raman Media Network (RMN) Company, which is a leading integrated media company using traditional as well digital media for providing its content services across the globe.

“In today’s digitally connected world, most consumers are spending a lot of their time in the computer technology-driven cyberspace. This skills development program will empower exporters to understand the latest digital marketing techniques, apply them to attract those consumers, and expand their operations in the global markets,” said Ajay Sahai, director general & CEO, FIEO.

The one-day training / orientation program was structured in different modules including Marketing Principles, Need for Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Channels, Digital Marketing Components, Online Social Media Management, Digital Advertising Platforms, Digital Ad Pricing, Search Engine Marketing, Digital Impact Analysis, and Digital Content Management.

“The need for digital marketing is more pronounced today because traditional marketing means like TV, newspapers and events have limited reach. These traditional methods of product promotions are not suitable for the modern business world that is increasingly getting globalized,” said Rakesh Raman, CEO, Raman Media Network (RMN) Company – who anchored and conducted the program.

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations represents the Indian entrepreneurs’ spirit of enterprise in the global markets. Known popularly as “FIEO,” this apex body of Indian export promotion organizations was set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry in the year 1965.

FIEO is thus a partner of the Government of India in promoting India’s exports.
