To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2018 on the 15 November, young entrepreneurs from around the world will pitch business ideas that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event will take place in Geneva, Switzerland.

UNCTAD, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Politecnico di Milano, the International Organization for Migration and Capacity is organizing the event.

Impact investors will provide feedback to young startups on promoting inclusive sustainable development through entrepreneurship.

Applications from young entrepreneurs with migrant backgrounds including returning migrants; businesses or business ideas which partner with migrants; as well as businesses which offer migration related solutions, are particularly encouraged.

Candidates in the scaleup competition will have the opportunity to win an equity fund of US$ 15,000, while candidates in the startup competition will have the opportunity to win a grant of US$ 5,000. The prizes are sponsored by One Creation, a Swiss Investment cooperative.
