Comedy Central Radio on SiriusXM for Stand-up Comedy

To kick off the launch of Comedy Central Radio, a leading brand in comedy’s exclusive 24/7 satellite channel on SiriusXM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), Comedy Central, a wholly owned unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA and VIAB), will go dark and simulcast the audio feed of the historic launch, which goes live at midnight ET on Sunday, May 19.

Virgin Mobile and Monster DNA headphones will sponsor the opening minute of Comedy Central Radio on Comedy Central, which marks only the second time that the channel has gone dark in its history, the first being May 22, 1992 when it did so for the entirety of Johnny Carson’s final broadcast of “The Tonight Show.”

Comedy Central Radio (SiriusXM Channel 95) will provide fans an all-access pass to the world of stand-up featuring hundreds of hours of content from Comedy Central’s library including stand-up series and specials, as well as performances from the “Comedy Central Roast” franchise.
