Apple Launches Special-Edition “Unity Connection” Watch Band to Honor Black History Month

CUPERTINO — Apple has officially unveiled its latest addition to the Black Unity collection: the Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop. Released on January 26, 2026, this special-edition Apple Watch band is designed to celebrate the power of connection and honor Black History Month.
A Design Rooted in Culture and Craftsmanship
The new band was developed by Black creatives and allies at Apple, drawing inspiration from the colors of the Pan-African flag. By utilizing advanced precision-braiding machinery, the design weaves recycled polyester yarn filaments around ultrathin silicone threads, resulting in a soft, textured finish that is both sweat and water-resistant. The band features a vibrant blend of red, green, and black hues, which Apple notes provides the accessory with unique depth and vibrancy.

In tandem with the product launch, Apple announced its continued commitment to advancing economic and educational opportunities in under-resourced communities. The tech giant is providing grants to several global organizations, including:

- Urban Arts in New York City
- Youth Music in London
- Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney
- Enactus México in Mexico City.

Pricing and Compatibility
The Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is priced at INR 9500. It is available for order immediately through the Apple Store online and the Apple Store app, with physical retail locations expected to receive stock later this week.
The band is offered in 42mm and 46mm case sizes and is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 or later, Apple Watch SE, and Apple Watch Ultra models (noting that Ultra models are compatible with the 46mm band only). Customers can choose from band sizes ranging from 0 to 12.
