Anthropic Reaches $380 Billion Valuation Following Landmark $30 Billion Series G Funding Round

SAN FRANCISCO – Anthropic announced that it has raised $30 billion in Series G funding, a massive investment that values the company at $380 billion post-money. The record-breaking round was led by GIC and Coatue, with co-leadership from D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX.
The funding round also saw participation from a vast array of global investors, including Accel, BlackRock, Fidelity, and Sequoia Capital, as well as continued investment from tech giants Microsoft and NVIDIA.
Explosive Financial Growth
The investment comes on the heels of unprecedented financial performance for the AI firm. Anthropic’s Chief Financial Officer, Krishna Rao, revealed that the company’s run-rate revenue has reached $14 billion. This represents a growth rate of over 10x annually for each of the past three years—a milestone achieved less than three years after the company earned its first dollar of revenue.
“This fundraising reflects the incredible demand we are seeing from these customers,” Rao stated, noting that Claude is becoming increasingly critical to how businesses operate.
Enterprise Dominance and Claude Code
Anthropic has solidified its position as a primary intelligence platform for the world’s largest organizations. Currently, eight of the Fortune 10 are Claude customers. The company has also seen a dramatic shift in high-value contracts; while only a dozen customers spent over $1 million annually two years ago, that number has now surged to over 500.
A significant driver of this growth is Claude Code, an agentic coding tool released to the public in May 2025. Claude Code has reached a $2.5 billion run-rate revenue, doubling its figures since the start of 2026 alone. Recent data indicates that Claude Code is now responsible for authoring 4% of all public GitHub commits worldwide.
Advancing Frontier Intelligence

Additionally, the company recently introduced Cowork, a tool that utilizes eleven open-source plugins to turn Claude into a specialist for specific roles such as legal, finance, or sales.
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure and Resilience
Anthropic intends to use the $30 billion to fuel frontier research, product development, and infrastructure expansion. The company remains the only frontier AI model provider available across all three major cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (Bedrock), Google Cloud (Vertex AI), and Microsoft Azure (Foundry).
By running on a diversified range of hardware—including AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs—Anthropic claims it can offer superior performance and greater resilience for enterprise customers who depend on Claude for critical operations.
