Samsung Electronics has announced a partnership with Google to integrate Google Photos directly into its AI TV lineup, allowing users to view their personal photo libraries in a cinematic format on the big screen. Scheduled to begin its rollout in early 2026, this integration will enable families to rediscover memories through curated stories organized by people, places, and significant events.
The collaboration will debut with the “Memories” feature, which is planned to launch exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months starting in March 2026. Later in the year, the service will expand to include “Create with AI,” utilizing Google DeepMind’s Nano Banana model to offer themed templates and “Remix” art styles, as well as “Personalized Results” for slideshows based on specific topics like hiking or travel.
The experience is designed to be seamless, with photos appearing through Samsung’s Daily+ and Daily Board interfaces once a user signs in with their Google Account. The system will also integrate with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion (VAC) to highlight memories throughout the day.
Regarding the partnership, Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, stated: “We’re excited to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs — helping people enjoy their favorite photos on a larger screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways”.
