SAN FRANCISCO — February 24, 2026 — OpenAI has announced the appointment of Arvind KC as its new Chief People Officer, a move aimed at helping the organization scale and adapt as artificial intelligence continues to redefine the nature of work.

KC joins OpenAI with a background that uniquely combines engineering depth and people leadership. His career includes senior leadership roles at several of the world’s most prominent technology companies, including Google, Meta, Palantir Technologies, and Roblox. According to the company, his experience in building both products and the large-scale organizations behind them makes him well-suited to manage high-performing technical teams while implementing practical systems that do not hinder innovation.

A Focus on Scaling and Culture

In his new role, KC will be responsible for the foundational aspects of OpenAI’s growth, including hiring, onboarding, and employee development. He is tasked with creating systems and policies that foster rapid collaboration and sustained high performance while preserving the company’s core operating principles.
