CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA — Apple has officially announced the return of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), scheduled to take place from June 8 through June 12, 2026. The event, which will be hosted primarily online, aims to bring the global developer community together to explore the latest innovations in Apple software and technologies.
A Hybrid Experience at Apple Park: While the conference remains accessible online to developers worldwide, Apple will host a special in-person event at Apple Park on June 8. This limited-capacity gathering will allow select developers and students to watch the opening Keynote and the Platforms State of the Union in person, engage with Apple engineers and designers, and participate in dedicated activities.
Focus on AI and Next-Gen Software: WWDC26 is set to spotlight significant AI advancements alongside updates to Apple’s primary operating systems. Based on Apple’s current product ecosystem, the conference is expected to provide insights into:
- iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.
- macOS Tahoe.
- watchOS 26.
- New developer tools and frameworks designed to enhance innovation across Apple platforms.
The week-long event will feature over 100 video sessions, interactive group labs, and specialized appointments where developers can receive direct guidance from Apple’s technical teams.
Empowering the Next Generation: Apple continues its support for young creators through the Swift Student Challenge. This year’s winners were notified on March 26, and 50 “Distinguished Winners” have been invited to Cupertino for a unique three-day experience. All challenge winners are eligible to request attendance for the June 8 event at Apple Park.
“WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “It’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation, and collaboration”.
How to Watch: The conference will be available through the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel. Additional updates and information will be shared via these platforms, as well as on LinkedIn, WeChat, and bilibili, leading up to the event.
